The Four QuestionsI'm concerned that someone might steal my idea—what should I do, and what's your confidentiality policy? Here's some good news: everything you've written down is legally protected right now. The relevant intellectual property statute is The Berne Convention. This protects a work by copyright from the moment it is "fixed in a tangible means of expression." Therefore, you can send me your written materials (via email or FAX) and you are protected by law. In what genres do you work?I exclusively write informational "how-to" books, articles and speeches in the areas of business and health. How much do you charge?Currently my writing schedule is full. However, I am available for coaching and consultations. An initial consultation is $250. How long does it take to write a book? There are many variables involved, including book length and pre-existing material. In general, articles take from 1-2 weeks and books take from 12 - 48 weeks. Consultations can happen within three business days. | "Ben Taxy is an incredible generator of useful ideas.
