The Four Questions

I'm concerned that someone might steal my idea—what should I do?

Here's some good news: everything you've written down is legally protected right now. The relevant intellectual property statute is The Berne Convention. This protects a work by copyright from the moment it is "fixed in a tangible means of expression."

In what genres do you work?

I specialize in psychology, communication, business and health. While this covers a wide variety of sub-genres, if your project falls outside my expertise I can assist you in selecting a writer who is a good fit.

Are you available for consulting?

Yes. Consultations are hour-long calls where we discuss what's most important to you. This can include editing and organizing material (website, brochure, white paper, cover letter, book proposal, business plan) as well as generating and polishing the names, titles and slogans that represent you, your projects and your company. The fee is $300.

How long does it take to write a book?

There are many variables involved, including book length and pre-existing material. In general, articles take from 1-2 weeks and books take from 12 - 48 weeks. Consultations can happen within three days and are a great way to jump start your creative process.
